A Postcard Revoluton...

Submissions to the RCA Secret Exhibition this year have had a particularly political edge. The curator, Wilhelmina Bunn, revealed that a high proportion of the postcards respond to the English riots and economic situation.

It is the eighteenth year of the RCA’s Secret Exhibition and there are expected to be more than 2 500 entries by over 1000 artists. Each postcard is exhibited anonymously and at the end of the show the works are sold for £45 each on a first come, first served, basis. Artists who have submitted works this year range from post grads at the RCA to household names such as  Grayson Perry, Olafur Eliasson, John Baldessari, Richard Wilson, Maggi Hambling, Erdem, Dries Van Noten, Sir James Dyson and Mike Leigh.
The exhibition runs from Friday 18th– Friday 25th November, the postcard sale is on Saturday 26th
